Book Review - Thank You Love by Ayush Gupta

Blurb
“…yes, I said, everything in life is uncertain, and it speaks the same.”

All human energy comes from that one thought. All the pains that we bear and the joys that we celebrate are the results of our thoughts at any moment. Strange isn’t it?

When Akshita was making her choices, Rayan made his. He refused to get over her and chose to own her absence in his heart and mind.

Thank You Love describes how sitting on the floor in silence changed the world of “Ryan”. He realized that love is not something that happens between two people; instead it’s an enduring quality within people. He realized that love is not something that you do, but is the way you are.

He re-moulds one of the most important events of his life into a spark, re-channelizes it and heads towards something that would later change the course of life.

About the Story
The storyline revolves around Rayan’s and Akshita’s relationship and the difficulties that surround them. Despite having a beautiful love life, they decided to part their ways. And then, the way Rayan decided to handle his post-breakup life is worth reading.

Writing & Narration
The way the storyline has been presented is simple and easy-going. However, the author has to work a bit on his presentation skills. There are a few grammatical errors as well. But, the emotions have been described perfectly.

Title & Cover
The title of the book is interesting and can compel the readers to pick this book up. On the contrary, the cover failed to please my eyes.

Pros
  • ·         The characterization has been done perfectly.
  • ·         It teaches how to handle post-breakup period.

Cons
  • ·         The storyline holds no quintessential aspects.
  • ·         The narration is not intriguing.

My verdict
This book is all about regular teenage love and breakup process. Also, it goes a bit on and off at certain places. However, what distinguish this book from others are the lessons that have been portrayed well. The author has tried to enlighten the readers with his pen.

Ratings – 3/5
