Book Review - Bouquet by Subhrajyoti Parida

About the book-
The book has 7 sections and each section offers you a certain number of poems. The book allows you to go through poems on various genres, like – mother, nature, emotions, etc. The poems are a plain sailing but touch the right chords.

Narration-
The narrative style of the poet is very simple. You wouldn’t find any complicated words all throughout the book. Although, since it is poet’s first book, so he has a lot to improve. I found some of the poems too childish, while some others were touching. A bit of editing could have changed everything.

Title & Cover-
The title of the book is not so catchy. The poet may have worked a bit on it. On the other hand, the cover is quiet attractive.

Pros-

  • ·         The poems are beautifully written.

  • ·         The poet has done a great job being a debutant.

Cons-

  • ·         The poet needs to polish his skills a bit.

My verdict-
Being a debutant, the poet has done a great job. I liked most of the poems, including – Colours of Life, She is the One, Peace. A bit of practice and a bit of editing may have taken it to another level. Overall, it is a good book to read. The emotions behind every poem are thought – provoking. Do try it once!

Ratings – 3/5
